The construction of the Huber Heights Masonic Temple began in 1981 and it was completed in the fall of 1996. Taking nearly 15 years to complete, it was erected by the hands and at the sweat of members of Huber Heights Masonic Lodge No. 777, F. & A.M.

What is Freemasonry?
It is the oldest and largest fraternity in the world. No one really knows how old it is because the actual origins have been lost in time. The first formal Grand Lodge of Freemasons was formed in England in 1717. In a time when travel was by horseback and sailing ship, Freemasonry spread with amazing speed. In 1731, when Benjamin Franklin joined the fraternity, there were already several lodges in the Colonies. Today there are over 13,000 lodges of freemasons in the United States alone.

Freemasonry is a system of morality, veiled in allegory, illustrated by symbols...it is not a religion but is religious in character. It is a philosophy of ethical conduct which imparts moral and social virtues and fosters brotherly love. Every Mason stands equal among his brothers, regardless of walk of life, and none is turned away for financial need.

Freemasonry is not a secret society; but, rather, is a fraternity of men who are proud to be known as Masons and are always ready to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for the fraternity with the world at large.
