Huber Heights Lodge No. 777, F. & A.M.
A Mason's charity is to be as extensive as our fraternity itself. While we don't want to overwhelm you by listing these several opportunities, you need the opportunity to consider what you ought to be doing in support of your Masonic heritage. Whatever you do is your business and your choice. You may however make one check to the lodge to cover the total amount of your giving. The following are some of the benevolent activities that our lodge supports:
The Ohio Masonic Home Endowment
Foundation: Ensures that the home will always be there and those
who outlive their income will be cared for through-out their life time.
You must contribute to get the donor emblem on your dues card. These
contributions are tax deductible.
Special Olympics: Sponsors
special needs athletes as they compete in the 2007 Summer Games in Columbus,
Ohio. Tax Deductible.
The Grand Lodge Charitable
Foundation: Supports the benevolent programs of our Grand Lodge.
Tax Deductible.
"Teddy Bears": Helps
to buy Teddy Bears for use to comfort children found in stressful
situations.
The Temple Company Endowment
Fund: Earns interest which can be used to help ensure our temple
building will be maintained and available for generations to come.
The Lodge Endowment Fund: Earns
interest which can be used to help fund Lodge benevolent programs such as
aid to distressed worthy masons, their widows and orphans and other similar
local causes. The larger the fund grows, the more interest is earned
and the more Masonic benevolent efforts the lodge can undertake.
The Edward K. Hart Endowment For Scholarships: Earns interest which must be used to fund scholarships to deserving Wayne High School graduates.
There are other charitable organizations and endeavors supported by the lodge during the course of each year, but the above are the primary ones that continue year after year.
